Founded as the sister company to Nordic Street Hotdogs & Sausages, Nordic House Sausages was created from a simple realization: truly authentic Old World hotdogs and sausages were difficult to find in Texas.
When we began searching for a supplier for our Danish-style hotdog stand, we quickly discovered that most American hotdogs were not what we were looking for. Many were made entirely from beef or filled with lower-quality ingredients like chicken and turkey. The hotdogs we remembered from Denmark and Germany were different — crafted primarily from pork with carefully balanced seasonings, natural casings, and the unmistakable snap that defines a true European-style sausage.
Determined to recreate those flavors authentically, we spent countless hours researching traditional recipes, testing ingredients, and refining techniques. Inspired by classic Danish grillpølser, medisterpølser, and traditional German bratwursts, we worked to develop sausages that stay true to their Old World roots while being crafted right here in Texas.
That journey eventually led us to partner with a quality meat processor in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, where our recipes could finally come to life using the standards and craftsmanship we believed in from the beginning. our goal is simple: bring the authentic flavor profiles of Old World sausages and hotdogs to Central Texas.
Today, our products will be available in two ways: at local farmers markets, as well as through our sister company, Nordic Street Hotdogs & Sausages, where customers can experience these flavors the way they were meant to be served — hot off the grill and built around traditional Nordic and German-inspired street food culture. Looking ahead, our vision is to eventually make Nordic House Sausages products available for retail purchase in stores so more people can bring a taste of Denmark and Germany home to their own table.
